He was always interested in the State and its institutions. He graduated as a Lawyer and Notary from San Carlos University in 2005, and simultaneously combined studies in Political Science at Rafael Landivar University, graduating in 2004. He participated as a negotiator in several trade treaty processes, mainly the European Union Association Agreement with Central America in 2008, and the closing of the Guatemala-Chile Free Trade Agreement in 2007.
He then broadened his knowledge by studying a Masters in Public Policy in South Korea at Kdi Schoool of Public Administration in 2009, focusing on Economic Development Policy, a subject on which South Korea is a leader in. He has worked in institutions of the Guatemalan government as an advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2012 and currently at the Guatemalan Commercial Registry 2016-2019.
