M.A. Hugo Maul Rivas
He holds a degree in Economics from Francisco Marroquín University and an M.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles -UCLA-, as well as a specialization in Central Banking. He is an associate researcher at the National Economic Research Center -CIEN-, as well as a researcher and lecturer on foreign trade, macroeconomics, fiscal policy, informal economy, the labor market, and economic development. He has been a national and international consultant for several international financial organizations and private foundations. He was also a member of the Fiscal Pact Follow-up Commission between 2003 and 2004. He is a columnist, an economic analyst and an author of several books on the national economy, as well as articles in national and international academic journals. He is currently Chancellor of Escuela de Gobierno.
MSc Daniel Haering
He holds a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master's degree in International Relations from the Barcelona Institute of International Studies. Professor at several local and international universities, co-author of several books, research papers and targeted reports. He was a member of the National Commission for the Reform of Drug Policy in Guatemala. He is currently a business advisor, an Academic Director and a professor at Escuela de Gobierno.
Dr. Nicholas David Virzi Arroyave
He holds a Doctorate in Political Science and Sociology from the Pontifical University of Salamanca, Spain; a Master's degree in Economics from the University of California, San Francisco, and a double degree from the University of California at Berkeley, in International Economic Relations and Political Science. He is a columnist and analyst in economics and politics, as well as an author of several articles and books on economics and politics. He has given lectures before international and national organizations such as the Bank of Guatemala, the UN, the OAS, the IMF, the Pan American Health Organization, and various business chambers in the region.
He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of San Carlos in Guatemala and a Magister Artium in Business Administration from the School of Economics and Business Administration, ESEADE. He has occupied several management positions including Director of Planning and Director of Operations at the Technical Training Institute, INTECAP. He was the Administrative Vice-Dean of the Business School at Francisco Marroquín University and is currently Secretary-General at Escuela de Gobierno.
